Grow old with me

“I knew right away that you were it for me. There were no reservations or second thoughts. I saw you and in an instant knew in my bones, my soul had known your soul lifetimes ago.” – Beau Taplin

I reached out to my Mom and Dad and asked them if I could spend the evening photographing them. My Parents have spent the last 45 years together. Forty-five YEARS. Sometimes I think about this amount of time and it blows my mind. I have witnessed them grow and overcome obstacles together, I have learned about my own relationships through watching theirs. I don’t know why it took me this long to document them together, but I am so glad I did.

We spent the evening in a field, playing and laughing and creating art together. I had them both write little notes to each other which they read out like wedding vows.

It was perfect.
